Mission, Vision and objective

In 1986, College is established by the Govt. of West Bengal Vide Order No. 1752/Edn (CS) dated 20th October 1986 & with affiliation of Burdwan University, now the College has been affiliated by Bankura University, in the name of Pandit Raghunath Murmu who invented ‘ALCHIKI‘ script for Santali language. The College is situated at P More, under Sraenga Block, a Junction point of Bankura-Jhargram State High way (SH-9) with Chandrakona Road- P. More. The coordinate location of the college is 52 ْ 22 ‘42.83‘‘N and 00 ْ 87 ‘09.70‘‘E.

Vision

The vision of the institution is to achieve excellence in higher education, empowerment of the marginal students of Jungal-Mahal through knowledge, inclusive growth for socio-economic change and sustainable development.

Mission

The mission of the institution is:

  • Horizontal expansion of education among the people of ‘Jungal-Mahal‘ which is backward region of West Bengal.
  • To equip and empower students with relevant knowledge, competence in the concerned subject to face global challenges.
  • To achieve innovations in teaching-learning, research and extension activities to realize national goals, including the adoption and promotion of knowledge output for human development.
  • To create awareness on human right, democratic participation, value system, scientific temper and environmental awareness.
  • To promote women‘s education specially for SC/ST & Backward communities.
  • To establish campus-community linkage.
  • Optimum use of existing facilities available.
  • To promote participation of all stakeholders in the development of the College.
  • To inculcate value based and moral education.
